Joseph Wresinski himself came from a poor background and so was intimately aware of the stigma attached to those who live in extreme poverty. He encouraged these people and others from all walks of life to join together in creating a culture which rejects poverty and to act together to fight poverty let by experience and knowlegde of the poorest. Only such a dialogue will ensure the respect of equal dignity and open the way to an humanity without misery.

Based on the experience of Joseph Wresinski, the Cercle de pensée Joseph Wresinski has met in Brussels for the past 10 years. It brings together citizens from all walks of life who freely exchange experiences from their social and professional responsabilities.
Anyone willing to share his point of view with others is welcomed. Each debate focuses on a text written by Joseph Wresinski.
The Cercles de pensée Joseph Wresinski also meets in others cities around the world.
