With the Children : Tapori

Tapori is a worldwide network of friendship between children of all backgrounds. They learn from children who have daily lives very different than their own and invent a way of being together that includes everyone.

Today Tapori exists in over 50 countries in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Africa.

4th December 2009 : the children delegates got a better understanding of the UN and began to prepare the messages they will present at their meeting with Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Mrs Kang.

The Rights of the Child – how far have we come?

Mobilising to mark the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child

It was on 20 November 1989 that this text promoting the protection of and respect for the rights of the child first was first unveiled! That day 192 countries ratified the Convention, which committed them to bringing their laws in line with the text. It is the most widely ratified convention in history.
